About / mayane mandelbaum
Mayane’s elegant looks are paired with a groundedness that comes from growing up on a farm in Jupiter, Florida. She and her dad, who is Swedish and German, raised horses, pigs, chickens, goats, lots of dogs, bunnies, and turtles. Her mother is Brazilian. She was scouted at a mall when she was 16. At the time, she was fully committed to playing volleyball to get a full college scholarship but realized that modeling represented a better path toward independence and a rich and interesting life. The first jobs that made her feel like she had made it were for Jaded Londen and IGK Hair, but she is a strong believer in Oscar Wilde’s “to define is to limit” and still has far-reaching goals for her career. She recently did a commercial for Delta Airlines, in collaboration with Missoni, as well as a shoot for Reformation. She is a “yes” person, loving adventure, as well as cooking, reading, and doing all kinds of art.
